1. Use of Service
River Course provides a dashboard that displays information from your Canvas LMS account. By using the service, you agree to use it only for your own academic planning and to comply with all applicable laws and your institution's policies. You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to access other users' data, or interfere with the service's operation.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and the Canvas access token you generate. Keep your token private and do not share it. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your token has been compromised, revoke it in Canvas immediately and reconnect with a new one.
3. Data Usage
River Course reads your course and assignment data from Canvas solely to build your personal dashboard. Your Canvas domain and access token are stored to authenticate requests to the Canvas API on your behalf. We do not share your data with third parties, and we do not post or modify anything in your Canvas account. Your data is associated with your account and is not accessible to other users.
4. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data from Canvas will always be accurate or current. Canvas is a trademark of Instructure, Inc.; River Course is not affiliated with or endorsed by Instructure.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, River Course shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to missed deadlines, lost grades, or any academic consequences resulting from reliance on information displayed in the dashboard.
6. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date below. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
